What’s with the roots and fruits?

Roots are where words spring from: the ancient histories embedded in every sentence we write or speak. And fruits? Well you know how sweet the taste of knowledge is. On our journeys through the linguistic garden, whenever something catches our eye, we’ll pick it out and send it to you. And in this way you’ll find unusual new tastes and wonderful stories you’ve never heard before.
